About 28 Weeks Later
28 Weeks Later is a 2007 British post-apocalyptic horror film directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. A sequel to the very successful 28 days later (2002), the film follows the efforts of NATO military forces to safeguard a small group of survivors in London, amongst them are two children that carry a potential cure to the virus. A deadly carrier of the viral infection enters the safe-zones and causes another outbreak of deadly proportions.
Making / Production
The film was produced by UK Film Council and Figment Films and distributed by Fox Atomic and Intrepid Pictures. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo co-wrote the script with Rowan Joffé, E.L. Lavigne and Jesus Olmo. Though it adopts the fast pace and visceral action sequences of its predecessor, it introduces its own distinct style and tone to keep the audience at the edge of their seats.
