Africa is a British television series created by the BBC and the Discovery Channel. The series focuses on wildlife and wild habitats in Africa, and has been four years in the making. It consists of six episodes which cover the continent's diverse eco-regions, from the Atlas Mountains to the Cape of Good Hope.

Making / Production

The series was directed by Patrick Morris and co-produced by the BBC and Discovery Channel. Filming took place over four years and across 27 countries, highlighting the vastness, diversity and wildness of the African continent. In order to capture footage of the most intimate and intense wildlife moments, the production team used special filming techniques such as infrared and time-lapse photography.
