About Off the Air
Off The Air is an American anthology television series that premiered on Adult Swim on January 1, 2011. Each episode is composed of surreal videos, in many different formats but unified by a theme. The series is produced by Dave Hughes, previously of Adult Swim's block of shorts called "Nightmare Face." There is no plot or actors, and each episode is around 10 to 11 minutes long, just long enough for a strange trip through video and audio clips.
Making / Production
Created by Dave Hughes, a former editor of "Space Ghost Coast to Coast," Off The Air typically uses stock footage, animation, and internet videos to form a surreal, and often psychedelic, experience of visual and auditory coordination.
