About Air Gear

Released in 2006, "Air Gear" is a shounen anime that is based on the manga series of the same title by Ito "Oh Great" Ōgure. The plot centers around Itsuki Minami "Ikki", a student and delinquent who is introduced to the world of Air Trecks, futuristic, high-powered rollerblades. Ikki soon discovers his love towards the sport and decides to create his own team with the goal to owning their own Air Treck team.

Making / Production

Toei Animation produced the series, known for creating many other popular anime series. The director was Hajime Kamegaki, and the music was composed by skankfunk.

Actors

  • Kenn: gave life to the character Itsuki Minami "Ikki". Kenn passionately captures Ikki's audacious and rebellious spirit.
  • Kenta Kamakari: plays Kazuma "Kazu" Mikura, Ikki’s close friend. Kamakari's warm voice perfectly fits Kazu's supportive and gregarious personality.
  • Mariya Ise: voices Ringo Noyamano, the female lead. Ise's versatile voice acting skill made Ringo's caring and strong character more vivid.
