About Aladdin and the King of Thieves
'Aladdin and the King of Thieves' is the third and final installment in Disney's 'Aladdin' animated film series, released on August 13, 1996. In this movie, Aladdin and his friends traverse through dangerous waters where they must encounter and deal with the Forty Thieves as Aladdin discovers his long-lost father is their leader.
Making / Production
The film is produced by Walt Disney Television Animation and released directly to video, bypassing a theatrical release. Disney Television Animation's then-prevalent practice was to make sequels to their popular films and 'Aladdin' was no exception. It was directed by Tad Stones and animated by Walt Disney Animation (Canada).
