Released in 1997, Alien Resurrection is the fourth installment in the Alien franchise. The story, set 200 years after the death of Ellen Ripley, revolves around her clone, which was created as part of a military experiment in an attempt to extract the alien queen inside her. The queen gives birth to a new breed of alien, which recognizes Ripley as its mother. Along with a group of mercenaries, Ripley must once again face her deadliest foe and try to escape the spaceship.

The film was directed by French director Jean-Pierre Jeunet and written by Joss Whedon. The production process was highlighted by the heavy use of digital visual effects and the brilliant set design, which gave the film its unique aesthetics - a fusion of gothic and cyberpunk elements.
Actors
- Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley. Having played the character in previous Alien films, she brings Ripley back to life with a haunting performance, capturing the troubled existence of a cloned being.
