About The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2

Released in 2014, The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2 is the sequel to the 2012 film, The Amazing Spider-Man™. Directed by Marc Webb, the film focuses on Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) who is dealing with his troubled relationship with Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), while battling sinister villains including Electro (Jamie Foxx), his old friend Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), and the mystery of his parents' disappearance.

Making/Production

The film was produced by Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach for Columbia Pictures. Director Marc Webb returned from the first film, crafting a web of storylines to build suspense and further develop Peter Parker's character. A noticeable increase in special effects and CGI was seen in the film, particularly in scene involving Spider-Man swinging through the city and the battles with Electro.
