America's Funniest Home Videos, also known simply as AFV, is a long-standing institution on the ABC network first aired in 1989, not 1981. This show has become an iconic representation of American family humor. It takes a look at the hilarious and often unpredictable things that happen in our daily lives. The heart of the series lies in home videographers who captured unplanned and spontaneous moments of humor and excitement which often involves unexpected falls, pets and kids displaying hilarious antics.
