About Amulet

"Amulet" is a 2020 horror film that was both written and directed by Romola Garai. The story revolves around Tomaz, an ex-soldier from an undisclosed war, who is left homeless after an encounter with a supernatural entity. He is taken in by a young woman named Magda who lives with her ailing mother in a dilapidated house. As time goes by, Tomaz begins to realize that he's trapped in the web of a dark and supernatural force with Magda and her maternal figure at the center.

Making / Production

Romola Garai makes her directorial debut with "Amulet," bringing her unique vision of horror to the screen. The movie was produced by Matthew James Wilkinson and Maggie Monteith. The cinematography by Laura Bellingham is atmospheric and moody, adding a layer of dread to the narrative.
