'Anaconda' is a 1997 American action-thriller film directed by Luis Llosa. The film centers around a National Geographic documentary film crew in the Amazon Rainforest that is taken hostage by an insane hunter, who is out to capture the world's largest and deadliest snake known as the ‘Anaconda’.

The film was produced by Verna Harrah, Leonard Rabinowitz and Carole Little with Hans Bauer, Jim Cash, and Jack Epps Jr. providing the screenplay. The massive snakes in the movie were brought to life through a combination of animatronics, puppeteering, and digital effects.
