About The Associate
The Associate is a wonderfully comic movie released in 1996. The film follows Laurel Ayres, a talented and hardworking financial analyst who hits the glass ceiling at her Wall Street job. After being passed over for a well-deserved promotion, she decides to leave and start her own company. However, she soon discovers that the business world is just as chauvinistic as her former job, so she invents a fictitious male business partner to bypass the corporate chauvinism. Eventually, her deception starts spiraling out of control, leading to a series of comedic and unpredictable events.
