'Atlas Shrugged' is a 2011 American Science Fiction drama film. The movie is based on Ayn Rand's novel of the same title which was published in 1957. It encapsulates Rand’s vision of a dystopian United States where leading innovators and industrialists are disappearing amidst a global economic collapse.

The film was directed by Paul Johansson and was the first installation in the Atlas Shrugged film series. The film's production faced several challenges.
