About Batman Beyond
Batman Beyond is a neo-noir, cyberpunk superhero animated television series that premiered on January 10, 1999, and ended on December 18, 2001. The story unfolds in Gotham City in the mid-21st century, introducing Terry McGinnis, a new Batman, under the tutelage of an elderly Bruce Wayne. McGinnis, a high school student, becomes the new Batman and fights against both a rogue's gallery of classic and new villains.

The series was a bold step for the Batman franchise, focusing on a futuristic Gotham City with new characters and plotlines, but maintaining the moral complexity and dark tone of its predecessor.
