"Battleship" is a 2012 American military science fiction action film that unfolds an intriguing story around a fleet of ships that are forced to do battle with an armada of extraterrestrial origin. The aim of this battle is in order to thwart their destructive plans. The film was made on an estimated budget of $220 million. It features an impressive variety of special effects, created by Industrial Light & Magic, and visual effects scenes completed by various other companies, including Image Engine and Scanline VFX.
