"The Beach Bum" is a 2019 American stoner comedy film written and directed by Harmony Korine. The movie's narrative follows a rebellious burn-out named Moondog (Matthew McConaughey) who lives life on his own anarchic terms. His wealth and fame came from his talent for writing poetry. Despite his natural talent for scribing verse, Moondog prefers living a hedonistic lifestyle filled with smoking weed, drinking heavily, and being conspicuously idle.

Principal photography began in November 2017 in Miami, Florida, and eventually, the filming was carried across the state. And the movie was directed by Harmony Korine, the director known for his distinctively experimental style.
