About The Big Bang Theory

The Big Bang Theory is a popular American sitcom that aired from 2007 to 2019. The series is centered around five characters living in Pasadena, California: two roommates Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper; Penny, a waitress and aspiring actress who lives across the hall; and Leonard and Sheldon's similarly geeky and socially awkward friends and co-workers, Howard Wolowitz and Raj Koothrappali. The geekiness and intellect of the four guys is contrasted for comic effect with Penny's social skills and common sense.

The series was created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, both of whom served as executive producers on the series, along with Steven Molaro. The show was produced by Chuck Lorre Productions and Warner Bros Television.
