About Black Lagoon

Black Lagoon is a Japanese anime television series produced in 2006 by the Madhouse studio. The gritty, crime-centric show takes place in the fictional city of Roanapur, Thailand and involves the criminal underworld. The action-packed plot revolves around Rokuro Okajima, an average Japanese businessman, who is kidnapped by mercenaries known as the "Lagoon Company". Rokuro eventually joins the group and abandons his former life, engaging in smuggling and battling various criminal factions.

Directed by Sunao Katabuchi and produced by Madhouse Studios, Black Lagoon has two seasons with the first one airing from April to June 2006. This well-animated series is known for its intense action sequences and mature themes.
