Black Panther is a superhero flick from Marvel Studios released in 2018. Directed by Ryan Coogler, the movie tells the story of T'Challa, who ascends to the throne of Wakanda, an isolationist African nation with advanced technology powered by a rare metal known as vibranium. The film explores themes of responsibility, identity, and the difficult task of balancing power.

Making/Production

Renowned director Ryan Coogler and writer Joe Robert Cole brought the Black Panther character to the big screen. Production took place in Atlanta, Georgia, and Busan, South Korea. Not only did this film showcase dazzling visual effects and costume design, it also offered an Afrofuturistic view of Africa rarely seen in Hollywood.

Actors

• Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther, he played the protagonist with grace and conviction, portraying both his royal responsibilities and human vulnerability.
