About Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga
Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga, is a direct sequel to the 2011 series 'Blue Exorcist', released in 2017. This action-packed, supernatural anime series revolves around the protagonist Rin Okumura, who discovers he's the son of Satan and decides to become an exorcist to fight against his very own lineage.
Making / Production
The series was produced by A-1 Pictures, directed by Koichi Hatsumi, with scripts written by Toshiya Ono. Remarkably, the show maintains the unique style and rich narrative of the original manga series by Kazue Kato.
Actors
- Nobuhiko Okamoto plays Rin Okumura, Satan's son & the firstborn of Satan's offspring. His performance depicts Rin's struggle to control his demonic powers.
- Jun Fukuyama plays Yukio Okumura, Rin's younger twin brother who is also an exorcist. Yukio is calm, calculating, and more responsible, a stark contrast to Rin, brilliantly portrayed by Fukuyama.
- Kazuya Nakai plays Ryuji Suguro, the determined and driven member of the group who often butts heads with Rin. Nakai's performance aptly captures Suguro’s fiery personality.
