The ambitious crew collected nearly 6,000 hours of underwater dive footage from 125 expeditions across 39 countries. Special 'tow cams' were developed for the production, which allowed fast speed animals like dolphins to be captured in high definition. The team also achieved this depth penetration using state-of-the-art submarines.
