About Body of Proof

Body of Proof is an American medical drama television series that ran on ABC from March 29, 2011, to May 28, 2013, and starred Dana Delany as medical examiner Dr. Megan Hunt. The show focuses on Hunt's efforts to balance the demands of her professional life with her personal life. After a car accident caused her to have a life-changing spinal injury, her medical license was revoked. Instead of leaving the medical profession entirely, she became a medical examiner.

Making / Production

The series was created by Christopher Murphey and produced by ABC Studios. Body of Proof was initially supposed to premiere in the fall season of 2010 but was delayed until 2011 due to creative changes. The series was filmed in Rhode Island and Philadelphia and was cancelled by ABC after the third season.

Actors

• Dana Delany as Dr. Megan Hunt: A neurosurgeon turned medical examiner, Delany brilliantly portrays the struggles and triumphs of her character navigating through the unfamiliar territory of crime investigation and personal relationships.
• Jericho Rosales as Detective Bud Morris: Tasked with the challenge of working alongside Dr. Hunt, Rosales renders a realistic portrayal of a detective struggling to adapt to Dr. Hunt's unorthodox methods.
• Geoffrey Arend as Dr. Ethan Gross: Providing much of the series' comic relief, Arend’s performance as the quirky but brilliant medical examiner is both engaging and endearing.

Although Body of Proof wasn't a big award winner, the series gained recognition for its compelling storytelling and strong performances, The series won the ASCAP Award Top Television Series in 2012 and 2013.
