About Brave Little Tailor

Created by Walt Disney’s Production team in 1938, the Brave Little Tailor is an engaging animated short film inspired by the Grimm Brothers' folk tale. In the plot, Mickey Mouse, mistaken for a monster slayer, is assigned the challenge of defeating a towering giant. Using his wit and courage, Mickey embarks on his adventures which end in successfully outsmarting and overcoming the adversary.

Making / Production

The film was produced by Walt Disney Productions and was directed by Bill Roberts under the supervision of Walt Disney himself. The iconic animation was created by an impressive team of animators that included Fred Moore, Bill Tytla and Emery Hawkins.
