"Captain America: The First Avenger" is a 2011 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Captain America. Set during World War II, the film sees Steve Rogers, a frail and sickly young man, transformed into the super-soldier Captain America through an experimental serum, to aid in the war effort. Rogers must stop the Red Skull, Adolf Hitler's ruthless head of weaponry, and the leader of a mysterious organization that intends to use a mysterious device for world domination.

The film was directed by Joe Johnston with a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Behind the camera talents also includes rotating CGI camera teams who created the signature transformation scene. Filming extended across several continents, including America, Europe and Africa.
