About The Cat from Outer Space

The Cat from Outer Space is a witty and heartwarming comedy-sci-fi movie released by Disney in 1978. The story revolves around an extraterrestrial feline named Zunar-J-5/9 Doric-4-7 (Jake for short) who crash-lands on earth. Jake has the ability to telepathically communicate, and his collar also has unique properties. Needing an unusual material called "Org 12" to repair his spaceship, he teams up with Dr. Frank Wilson and Dr. Liz Bartlet to outsmart the military, who are keen to capture him, and some greedy opportunists.

Making / Production

The movie was directed by Norman Tokar, renowned for directing many of Disney's family films during the 60s and 70s. The script was crafted by Ted Key, who is known for creating the beloved character- Hazel. The film perfectly blends comedy and suspense, appealing to both kids and grown-ups

Actors
