About Cinderella

Cinderella is a captivating, live-action adaptation of Disney's animated classic. It tells the story of Ella, a young woman who falls into misfortune after her father's passing. Despite being mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters, Ella refuses to despair or retaliate, instead choosing to believe that goodness will ultimately prevail. Her fortune changes when the palace sends invitation for a ball to all maiden ladies. With help from her Fairy godmother, Cinderella gets to attend the ball where she captures the prince's heart only to leave at midnight leaving behind a glass slipper. The prince, determined to find his beloved, searches the whole kingdom for a lady who will fit in the glass slipper and finally discovers her to be Cinderella. The movie ends in a fairytale manner with a wedding.

Making / Production

Released by Walt Disney Pictures and directed by Kenneth Branagh, the movie was made with a budget of $95-$100 million. The film's flawless aesthetics are a result of Dante Ferretti's production design, Sandy Powell's costume design, and Haris Zambarloukos' cinematography which is a true spectacle in itself. Filming locations included Pinewood Studios and several other locations in England.
