About Colewell

Colewell is a 2019 drama film directed by Tom Quinn. It tells the story of a woman named Nora, who not only runs the local Colewell post office in her rural Pennsylvania town, but her home is also the post office. When the USPS decides to shut it down, Nora must decide whether to relocate for a new job or face retirement in Colewell. The movie does a fantastic job in potraying the personal toll of displacement, change, and aging, conveyed through the lens of a small community wrestling with its own obsolescence.

Tom Quinn returned for his second feature film after a nine-year break. He beautifully captures the essence of rural Pennsylvania and the people living there. The film was produced by Alexandra Byer, Craig Shilowich, and Matthew Thurm.
