About Crash & Bernstein

Crash & Bernstein is a live-action television series with puppetry which premiered on Disney XD from October 8, 2012 to August 11, 2014. The story revolves around Wyatt Bernstein, a multi-talented boy who lives with his hard-working mom and three sisters. On his 12th birthday, Wyatt visits a Build-A-Bestie store where he creates a puppet he names Crash. Amazingly, Crash comes to life, and conceives himself to be like a rough-and-tumble brother to Wyatt, adding an extra punch of unpredictability to Wyatt's everyday life.

Making / Production

The series was created by Eric Friedman and produced by It's a Laugh Productions for Disney XD. The production crew worked harmoniously to artistically combine live-action and puppetry elements to make the characters feel as real as possible.

Actors

  • Tim Lagasse as Crash: Crash is a hilarious, unpredictable puppet character brought to life through Lagasse's exceptional puppetry skills. He provided the fun, adventurous side of the duo.
  • Cooper Roth and later on Cole Jensen as Wyatt Bernstein: Wyatt Bernstein is a 12-year-old boy longing for a brother. Roth in the pilot episode and Jensen in the series portrayed the character with perfect sensitivity and understanding.
  • Mary Birdsong as Mel Bernstein: Mary played Mel, Wyatt's mother, who tries to balance her demanding job and challenges of raising four kids.
