Cruel Summer is a gripping, psychological thriller that follows two young women: Kate Wallis, the popular girl who seems to have it all; and Jeanette Turner, the nerdy wannabe who one day wakes up to be the most envied girl in town. The plot unfolds over three summers from 1993 to 1995 in a small Texas town when Jeanette's popularity soars after she is accused of being connected to Kate's disappearance and eventual return.
