"Cyborg" is a post-apocalyptic-science-fiction-action movie released in 1989. The film follows a mercenary, Gibson Rickenbacker (played by Jean-Claude Van Damme), who is hired to escort a cyborg, Pearl Prophet, who carries vital information humanity's survival. Set in a dystopian future where societies are ruined, diseases ravage population and chaos reigns, it presents a vivid depiction of human's struggle for survival.

Making / Production

The movie was directed by Albert Pyun and produced by Menahem Golan as a low-budget film. It was conceived during the collapse of the planned film ‘Spider-man’, and the sets prepared for it were used to make 'Cyborg'. The film was a commercial success grossing significantly more than its estimated budget.
