"Damien: Omen II" is a 1978 American supernatural horror film directed by Don Taylor. It is a sequel to the 1976 film "The Omen" and follows the life of Damien Thorn, now a teenager, who discovers his true destiny as the Antichrist after being sent to a military academy.

The film was produced by Harvey Bernhard and was directed by Don Taylor. It was developed by writer Stanley Mann, who based the screenplay on an original story by Harvey Bernhard. The movie was shot in Illinois and the United Kingdom.

Actors

  • William Holden as Richard Thorn: William portrayed Damien's adoptive father Richard Thorn. Through struggles and investigations, he slowly comes to terms with his adoptive son's horrifying destiny.
  • Lee Grant as Ann Thorn: Lee played Richard's second wife, Ann, who is completely oblivious to Damien's identity and will protect him at all costs.
  • Jonathan Scott-Taylor as Damien Thorn: Jonathan played the titular character, Damien, who slowly becomes aware of his destiny as the Antichrist.

  • The filmmakers originally intended to name this film "Omen II: Damien", but reversed the titles to play up the horror elements.
  • This is the only Omen film to not be released in the same year as a Star Wars film.
