Descendants is a 2015 American musical fantasy television film directed by Kenny Ortega and was released by Walt Disney Pictures on July 31, 2015 to positive reviews from critics. The story is set in the kingdom of Auradon, where Ben, the teenaged son of King Beast and Queen Belle, is poised to take the throne. He offers a chance of redemption to the trouble-making teenaged descendants of defeated villains exiled to the Isle of the Lost.

Descendants was produced by Disney Channel Original Movie and choreographed by Kenny Ortega (who is also the director). The script was written by Josann McGibbon and Sara Parriott.

Actors

• Dove Cameron - Played the role of Mal, the daughter of Maleficent. She brilliantly captivates the audience with her insurgent spirit and ultimately, her redeeming character.
• Booboo Stewart - Played Jay, the son of Jafar. Stewart impressively portrays his character's transformation from a petty thief to a loyal friend.
• Sofia Carson - Played Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen. Her portrayal offers a fresh look at the pressures of royal expectations.
