About Devil May Cry

Based on the video game series of the same name by Capcom, 'Devil May Cry' is an anime series that premiered in 2007. The show focuses on a devil hunter named Dante, who runs an agency dedicated to exterminating all forms of devils and demons. Dante is himself a half-demon, born to a demon father and a human mother. The series revolves around Dante's missions, his battles against the dark forces, and his interactions with other characters.

Making / Production

The series was produced by the anime studio Madhouse. Shin Itagaki directed the series, while Bingo Morihashi worked on the script. Hiroyuki Kobayashi and Haruhiro Tsujimoto from Capcom also participated in the project. The art and animation reflect the distinct visual style of the original 'Devil May Cry' game.
