About Disneynature Chimpanzee

Disneynature Chimpanzee is a true-life adventure that follows the journey of a baby chimpanzee named Oscar. Oscar leads an entertaining and joyful existence in his lush rainforest home with a playful attitude and an intense curiosity. However, when Oscar's family is confronted by a rival band of chimpanzees, he becomes an orphan and is left alone in the wild. With the help of master chimp and veteran of the forest, Freddy, Oscar survives and thrives, showing the bond that can establish itself even in the chaotic world of the jungle.

Making / Production

The film was produced by Disneynature, the independent film label of The Walt Disney Studios. The film took 3 years to produce with crews toughing it out in the wilds of Africa to bring the story of Oscar to life. Directors Alastair Fothergill and Mark Linfield worked with an experienced team of cameramen to capture the stunning visuals of the movie.
