Doomsday is a science fiction film released in 2008 that features action-packed sequences and a storyline ardently focused on a post-apocalyptic setting. Set in 2035, the film centers around Major Eden Sinclair who is assigned the task of entering a quarantined, plague-ridden Scotland to retrieve a possible cure by her authoritarian government, following the resurgence of the virus in London.

Making / Production

The film was produced by Matthew Vaughn, written and directed by Neil Marshall, and it took around two months for the shooting to complete. It was shot primarily in South Africa and Scotland. The inspiration for creating such a film came from various classic movies such as Mad Max 2 and Escape from New York.

Actors
