About Double Teamed
"Double Teamed" is a Disney Channel Original Movie, released in 2002, which tells the inspiring story of Heather and Heidi Burge, two athletes who went on to become professional basketball players in the WNBA. The movie is based on their actual experiences, detailing their transition from high school to college and then to the professional league. In the beginning, they just planned to continue their education without major distractions, but their father's love for sports and their considerable talent for volleyball and basketball led them down a different path.
Making/Production
The movie was directed by Duwayne Dunham and was produced by Christopher Morgan and Don Schain. It was filmed on a budget of approximately $5.1 million and most of the shooting was done in Salt Lake City, Utah. Basketball scenes for the movie were choreographed by sports choreographer Reuben Feels.
Actors
