About Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai

"Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai" is an animated television series released in 2020. The series, a project under Toei Animation, is based on a famous Japanese video game series, Dragon Quest, and follows the journey of the protagonist Dai, who aspires to become a seasoned hero.

Living in Dermline Island in the Southern Seas, Dai is trained by his grandfather, the monster Hermit Brass. His simple life is disrupted when Brass is called to serve the princess Leona, after which Dai embarks an adventurous quest filled with monsters, magic, and epic battles.

Making / Production

Toei Animation, known for popular anime like "One Piece" and "Dragon Ball," produced this animated series. Owing to its roots in the cherished Dragon Quest game series, the anime received a warm welcome from fans all around the world.

Actors

  • Atsumi Tanezaki - Voiced Dai, the show's protagonist, and portrayed his character with a perfect blend of courage and vulnerability.
  • Yuko Sanpei - Gave voice to Popp, Dai's noble friend. Her performance well-captured Popp's loyalty and comedic essence.
