"DuckTales" is an American animated television series produced by Disney Television Animation. The series aired from September 18, 1987, to November 28, 1990. The show follows an eccentric and wealthy duck named Scrooge McDuck, his grandnephews - Huey, Dewey, and Louey, and close friends, as they embark on high-flying adventures and quests for treasure across the globe. The series is famed for its adventure-driven plots, comedy, and catchy theme song.

"DuckTales" was produced by Disney Television Animation which was known as Walt Disney Pictures Television Animation Department during its production. Initially, it was considered a risky venture by Disney, as it was their first major, fully animated television series. Yet, due to its success, it paved the way for future Disney cartoon series.
