About The Emperor's New School

The Emperor's New School is an American animated television series which aired from 2006 to 2008 on Disney Channel. The story is a spin-off of the 2000 film, "The Emperor's New Groove." It features the young Emperor Kuzco attending the public school, Kuzco Academy, while dealing with his advisor Yzma, who desires his throne, and often tries to remove him as a student at the Academy.

Making / Production

The series was produced by Walt Disney Television Animation and directed by Howy Parkins. Mark Dindal, the director of the original movie, had a significant influence on the show's creative direction. Art direction was shared between Jill Daniels and Mike Moon, with the story editor being Scott Peterson.

Actors

  • J.P. Manoux as Kuzco - Manoux wonderfully voiced Kuzco, managing to capture the character's arrogance, wittiness and immaturity.
