About 'Everybody Wants to Be Italian'
'Everybody Wants to Be Italian' is a romantic comedy movie that was released in 2008. The film is about Jake Bianski, a fishmonger at Boston's North End, who is still in love with his ex-girlfriend Isabella who left him eight years ago. His friends, anxious to help him get over his obsession, introduce him to Marisa Costa, an attractive woman whom they mistakenly think is Italian. Because Jake believes Marisa is Italian, he starts a relationship with her. However, it isn't so easy for the two as they have to navigate through their own insecurities, the advice of their friends, and a web of white lies before they can find their happily ever after.
