In Expedition: Back to the Future, our beloved actor Christopher Lloyd sets out on an epic journey to track down the DeLoreans that were used in creating the cult classic Back to the Future trilogy. He is joined by co-host Josh Gates as they embark on a riveting journey through various locations, relying on the original film series' hint. The end game of their expedition is to find one of these DeLoreans and use it to support Michael J. Fox's Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

This reality docuseries was developed by Discovery and was released on the Discovery+ platform on March 15, 2021. The series involves a road trip wherein the hosts visit various locations from the movies and meet fans who are believed to have the DeLoreans.
