About Fairy Tail

"Fairy Tail" is a fantasy anime series based on the manga of the same name written by Hiro Mashima. The series was first broadcast in Japan in 2009 and ran until 2019, spanning 328 episodes over four seasons. The story revolves around Celestial Spirit Mage Lucy Heartfilia, who joins the Fairy Tail Guild and partners with Natsu Dragneel, a Dragon Slayer. Together, they undertake various missions and encounter dark guilds, demons, and dragons throughout their endless adventures. Their camaraderie and their belief in the power of friendship become central themes as they continue to protect their guild and each other from any threat.

Making / Production

The series was directed by Shinji Ishihira and produced by A-1 Pictures and Satelight (for the first series) and by A-1 Pictures and Bridge (for the second series). It was then licensed by Funimation for an English-language release in North America.
