About The Family Law

The Family Law is an Australian comedy television series created by Benjamin Law. The six part series, loosely adapted from Law's 2010 book of the same name, was first broadcast on SBS One on 14 January 2016. The show follows the dysfunctional world of one Chinese-Australian family, as seen through the eyes of 14-year-old Benjamin Law. It's a show about misguided love, chaotic weddings, awkward puberty, and the relentless pursuit of joy.

Making / Production

The Family Law is produced by Matchbox Pictures and is executive produced by Tony Ayres, Debbie Lee, Sophie Miller, and Patrick Walters. The series' writing team includes Marieke Hardy, Kirsty Fisher, Benjamin Law, Lawrence Leung and Matchbox's own director of Asian content, Debbie Lee.

Actors
