About The Fault in Our Stars

The Fault in Our Stars is a heart-wrenching film adaptation of John Green's bestselling novel of the same name. The story follows two teenagers, Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters, who meet in a cancer support group and embark on a journey of love and loss.

Plot and Summary

Hazel Grace, a teenager living with cancer, is pushed by her parents to attend a support group meeting where she ends up meeting Augustus Waters, an ex-basketball player and amputee. The two instantly connect and begin sharing their experiences, thoughts and heartaches. As they fall madly in love, they utilise their dying energies to seek the author of Hazel's favourite book which ends abruptly, leaving her seeking closure. The couple embark on a heart-wrenching trip to Amsterdam, but happy moments are swiftly shadowed by sad news.

Making / Production

The production of the film started in 2012 after the rights of the novel were obtained by 20th Century Fox. Josh Boone was assigned to direct the film, and the screenplay was written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber.

Actors
