About The Fox and the Hound 2

The Fox and the Hound 2 is a 2006 direct-to-video sequel to the 1981 Disney animated film The Fox and the Hound. In this installment, the friendship of Tod, a red fox, and Copper, a hound dog, is tested when Copper joins a band of singing dogs. As Copper's star rises, he becomes less interested in his friendship with Tod, leaving Tod to make a dramatic decision to regain his friend's attention.

The film was produced by DisneyToon Studios, directed by Jim Kammerud, and was released directly to DVD on December 12, 2006. Though a sequel, the film is more of a midquel, as its events occur within the original film's timeline.
