A remake of Burton's 1984 short film of the same name, 'Frankenweenie' is a delightful tale about a young boy, Victor, who brings his beloved dog back from the dead. But when Sparky escapes, Victor's classmates exploit the situation and mayhem ensues. It's a heartwarming story about companionship and the trials and tribulations of adolescence, backing it up with stellar visuals.

Making / Production

'Frankenweenie' was directed by the acclaimed filmmaker, Tim Burton, in 2012. It's Burton's first black-and-white feature film and his first stop-motion film to be released in IMAX 3D. The screenplay was penned by John August, and production took place inside a special 3D laboratory, where the crew used 3D photography to enhance the film's visual depth.

Actors

  • Charlie Tahan as Victor Frankenstein, a quiet and intelligent boy who brings his dog back to life. Tahan beautifully portrays Victor's love for his dog and his resourcefulness.
