About Frasier (1993)
Frasier is an American sitcom that was broadcast on NBC for 11 seasons, premiering on September 16, 1993, and concluding on May 13, 2004. The program was created and produced by David Angell, Peter Casey, and David Lee in association with Grammnet (2004) and Paramount Network Television. The series follows the life of the character Frasier Crane, a chic, snobbish, and somewhat neurotic psychiatrist, who, after his divorce, returns to his hometown of Seattle to start anew.
Making / Production
The sitcom was a spin-off from the TV show Cheers, where Frasier was a regular. The creators were careful to keep the spirit of the original show but found fresh and amusing scenarios for Frasier in his new environment in Seattle. The production was well received and praised for its witty script and strong performances.
