About Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter

The fourth installment of the popular horror franchise, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter was directed by Joseph Zito. Believed to be the last movie in the series, it revolves around Jason Voorhees who, upon surviving from the previous film's wound, returns to the Crystal Lake region to murder a group of unsuspecting teenagers and a family.

Making / Production

The production of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter began in the late 1983, under the direction of Joseph Zito. Known for his work in horror films, Zito brought a new level of scares to the screen. The film employed innovative special effects by Tom Savini, who returned after working on the original 1980 film, to bring a fresh intensity to Jason's mayhem.

Actors

  • Kimberly Beck as Trish Jarvis: Trish is the movie's final girl who fights off Jason. Beck played the role with a rare level of intensity and believability for the franchise.
  • Corey Feldman as Tommy Jarvis: Feldman played Tommy, a young horror fan, who eventually stands against Jason in the epic final showdown. His performance is considered one of the highlights of the film.
  • Ted White as Jason Voorhees: White portrayed the psychotic killer Jason with menacing physicality.
