"Friday the 13th, Part VI: Jason Lives" is the sixth film in the "Friday the 13th" horror franchise. Directed and written by Tom McLoughlin, the movie was released in 1986. The storyline resumes with Tommy Jarvis, who accidentally resurrects Jason Voorhees while trying to confirm his death. The undead Jason returns to Crystal Lake and resumes his vicious killing spree.

Making / Production

Producer Frank Mancuso Jr., wanting to distance from the controversy of the previous film, hired McLoughlin to create a more fun, adventurous film. The movie was shot in Georgia and Alabama and is the first film in the franchise to feature Jason as an undead being, marking a significant shift in the series.
