In this sixth installment of the Friday the 13th franchise, Tommy Jarvis, who is haunted by the memory of the infamous killer Jason Voorhees, who he killed as a child, digs up Jason's corpse to ensure he's really dead. Unfortunately, in doing this, he inadvertently resurrects Jason instead. Now fully revived, Jason commences a killing spree around Camp Crystal Lake. Tommy, along with the local sheriff's daughter Megan, must race against time to kill Jason again before he reaches the campgrounds filled with unsuspecting counselors.

Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives was written and directed by Tom McLoughlin. Though it was the sixth installment of the franchise, it tried to add humor and self-referential "meta" elements while staying true to the franchise's horror roots.
