About Frozen Fever
Frozen Fever is a 2015 American computer-animated musical fantasy short film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is a sequel to the 2013 feature film Frozen and tells the story of Anna's birthday party given by Elsa with the help of Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf. But Elsa develops a cold, which bestows upon her a strange power to create mini-snowmen called "snowgies".
Making / Production
The film, directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, was announced during the ABC Television special, The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic. The original voice cast from Frozen returns with new music from Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. The production of the film took around six months.
Actors
- Idina Menzel as Elsa: Menzel reprised her role as Elsa, but this time as a more carefree and playful character, matching the happier tones of the short film,
- Kristen Bell as Anna: Vastly different from her role in the original Frozen film, Bell voices a more relaxed and carefree Anna.
- Jonathan Groff as Kristoff: Groff's role as Kristoff continues into Frozen Fever. Since Elsa's powers aren't as much of a threat, his character is more integrated into the playful atmosphere of the film.
- Josh Gad as Olaf: Gad returns as the lovable Olaf and continues to provide comic relief in the film.
